Disneyland 2010

Trevor, his Dad and brothers had this big trip planned for months to go to Chicago in November for the Utah vs. Notre Dame game. Which meant that us mothers and the children would be left behind in the dust while they partied it up. Well, we didn't let that stop us from having fun. We went to Disneyland-
IN YOUR FACE DADS!
Though it was a lot of work going without Trevor, it was a lot of fun and I have the pictures to prove it:

I told Trevor that next time we go to Disneyland, I'm riding all the rides and Trevor sits out with the kids. I think that sounds fair, don't you?:)

Wholly Halloween!

Wow we did a lot for Halloween! It was a TON of fun but I'm glad it's over. It all started with Logan's Halloween party for preschool the Wednesday before (Thanks for the pics Brittany).
Then on Thursday was the Pumpkin Patch, once again, with his preschool. He had a blast with his friends and Kaitlyn loved touching the animals.

Friday we had our ward Trunk-or-Treat. On Saturday we went to a community activity with friends and another Trunk-or-Treat with all the cousins later that night. I'm so sad we didn't get any good pictures of them together.

On Sunday we decided we were not going trick or treating so we had a big Halloween pot-luck at my family's house where we each made a Halloween themed dish. I was nominated to make these: They took FOR.E.VER!!! But they turned out cute. All in all we had an awesome week and would not change a thing. I'm sure glad it's over though!

Fall Fun

October has been a fun month with lots going on. The weather has been great so we've been enjoying all kinds of parks as much as possible...

...and the Pumpkin Patch with cousins...

...and more soccer...

...and having family visit...

...and teaching preschool...

...and Kids Night Out (K.N.O.).

We set up the projector in my inlaws backyard and watched a Halloween movie. As you can see Kaitlyn could not have cared less. After that, they slept in the tents.

I'm not sure if they stuck it out the whole night because they're sleeping in there right now. I guess I'll find out in the morning. Kaitlyn and I came home to sleep in our comfortable beds and so far I have no regrets :)

And Dress-Up Begins...

This is Kaitlyn being kind of weird. It is 105 degrees outside today and she found her coat and Logan's pajamas in the dirty clothes and insisted on wearing them. I didn't know where else to put the pants so I put them on her head, expecting her to rip them off. She loved it! Earlier I had found her mittens in her drawer which she had fun with.

She threw a fit when I took it all off. Right now, Kaitlyn is really into accessorizing. Not so much with bows in her hair because she takes those out but she likes hats and shoes. And apparently she likes winter clothes too. I would purchase a scarf for her but she doesn't have a neck :D When I put her Sunday dresses on, she twirls. It's starting to hit me that I have a girl rather than just a little baby. I'm excited... and scared!

Soccer Games

Logan's been busy with soccer practice, art class, soccer games and now preschool. He's really enjoying it all, except the soccer games are a little over his head. He does not have a desire to play. I think that will change with age but right now he sporadically plays on the field by choice and has no idea what he's doing when he's out there. It's been fun though. We'll definitely do it again next year.

Preschool

Logan started preschool last week. He loved it! There are 8 kids and he is the only boy but that doesn't seem to bother him. In fact, the teacher called me after class and told me how all the girls insist on sitting next to their best friends and Logan is just happy to be there and plays with anyone and everyone. I figure it will balance him out after playing with all his boy cousins in town. He's a sensitive little guy anyway.

The Little Moments

It is rare when I hear silence and find them together, doing something good.
If only it lasted longer than five minutes.

The First of Many...

Logan went to soccer practice today for his first time. Out of 13 kids, he was the runt (poor guy). His strengths are: dribbling, and never touching the ball with his hands.
His weaknesses are: slow, small and (surprisingly) he is a social butterfly.
He says he enjoyed it. I hope that attitude continues. His cousin Nolan is on the same team which is always fun. We'll see how this season plays out but first lets admire the cute boys in their little soccer outfits...

Eagle, ID

Morgan and Janet recently bought a house in an awesome town near Boise where we were able to go visit at the end of July for just over a week. We had a lot of fun with family doing activities, park hopping and enjoying the river.
Park pictures from 3 different days

^cute cousin Ali

^Cousins Jamie and Camden
We went to the river two times to swim and play and one time to ride bikes near it. We had so much fun at the river. It makes me miss the dirty old Virgin river I used to play in growing up. But that was by far Logan's favorite!

With a body like this you would have to flex your muscles in a swimming suit!

^Can you tell he loved it?

^Janet and Trevor
And here are some pictures from other activities we did.
We went to a kids play place called Rafiki's and it was really neat. There was dress up, art stuff, tunnels and slides, toys and pretend play activities. The kids had a great time!

^Camden boy

^Kait liked her tutu

^Miss Giraffe and Buzz lightyear

^We ate homeade donuts at the Boise Farmers Market. I've never been to something like that so I really enjoyed that. They had free art activities for Logan and the older kids. He loved that!

We had a great time in Idaho! My sister-in-law, Rachael, had so many options to choose from as to what to do and it made it a great week. We also went to see a play with just the girls by the River on Friday night. This was basically our last vacation of the year. We feel so blessed that we were able to go every where we went. We had a wonderful summer with lots of memories. Thanks to everyone who was a part of it!
