San Diego Trip cont...

[If you didn't read the post before this, I recommend starting there before reading this one]
On Friday we headed to the infamous San Diego Zoo... but first Trevor had to, of course watch USA soccer.

We saw a ton of animals, walked many miles, and caught a lot of sun. They have a really cool elephant exhibit which was located next to an eating area where we sat and ate our PB&J's. It was also a lot of fun watching the polar bears. I really enjoyed the apes while Trevor really enjoyed the snacks :D. After walking the whole place, we were done around 4:00 and ready to relax in the hotel for a little bit.
Then at about 6:30 we raced off to a Padres baseball game where we met some old friends (and old roommates) from college, Bobby and Tyson. It was really nice to be able to catch up with them. The area where we were sitting was really neat and very child friendly. We sat on some grass they had near the seating and just down below that was a big sand area made just for kids. Logan and Kaitlyn had a blast playing with the Leavitt kids. I forgot to take pictures. We finally ended the day at about 10:00... boy the kids were tired!!!

Saturday was beach day and whatever else we wanted to do. We made it to Coronado beach at about 10:00 where we were pretty much the only people there, and for a good reason... it was cold! It was amazing how an hour had passed and all of the sudden it warmed up enough to go play in the water and that is just what we did.Logan and Kaitlyn LOVED the water. It was so cute to see Kaitlyn walking around in her little one piece swimming suit (which I'm so sad I didn't get any pictures of). Logan in the past was terrified of the water but had so much fun this time around. By around lunch time we were all wet and the kids were cold again. We ate and left.
We were planning on going to the hotel, showering and taking naps but to our surprise, the cleaning lady never came. So in order to get that service we basically had to shower and leave again. Our Costco tickets were good for Sea World, the Zoo, and the Wildlife Park which were each unlimited visits for 5 consecutive days. So we went back to Sea World and saw everything else we never got to last time. We ate dinner there and right after dinner I felt sick. We ended up having to leave before seeing the last show because I was so sick and at about midnight I threw up. I think it was the food I had eaten. I was mostly fine in the morning. So Sunday we checked out of the hotel and headed for the Wildlife Park for about 4 hours and then headed home.I didn't have a great time there mainly because I was still recuperating and we had seen all the animals God could possibly create. But we did go on a fun bus tour that took us through this open field area... kind of like what you would see in Africa where animals were freely walking. Giraffes, rhino's and all kinds of African animals. That was really fun! We had an AMAZING trip and I feel so blessed to be able to do these things for and with my kids because I rarely had that growing up. It was an incredible trip that we will not forget!
(Trevor thinks I post to much info so sorry if you feel the same way... I do it for the book I will eventually print out)
